Popular Warzone Perk is almost completely useless despite multiple buffs

Warzone players thought this latest update may have finally restored the Mountaineer Perk to its former glory, but it didn’t pan out that way.
In January, players discovered that the Mountaineer was broken, because if you equipped the Perk, it changed all of your perks to the default Perks when you loaded into a match.
If that wasn’t already bad enough, JGOD noticed in November that Mountaineer is far less effective than in 2023 during MW3’s iteration of Warzone. For MW3, you died from fall damage at 13.5, but with Mountaineer, it nearly doubled to around 27 meters before becoming fatal.

Raven Software fixed and buffed the ability in the February 21 update, but JGOD showed why it didn’t make a difference.
Mountaineer Buff falls short of expectations
JGOD shared a video of the Mountaineer Perk in action and revealed that you nearly die if you jump from 14 meters up and die from 15. With the Perk equipped, you take zero damage from 20 meters, enter a near-death state from 21, and die at 22.

Since the difference is only 8 meters, don’t expect to see too many players using Mountaineer in matches during Season 2 Reloaded.
Professional Warzone player ScummN said, “So it’s useless,” and JGOD responded, “Yeah, it’s not worth it.”
In addition, JGOD claimed that the Perk is still broken because you lose the Perk after dying. So if you are an enemy and pick up the Perk package, or you pick up your own package after respawning, there will only be two Perks instead of all three.

Meanwhile, Scavenger is also an excellent option because all of your weapons start with max ammo, and enemies drop ammo, one of each of your Tactical and Lethal equipment items, one plate, and extra cash.
